Workplace Literacy

With the advent of e-mail, digital videoconferencing and other forms of instant communication, the term "global" in the world of business has taken on a whole new meaning.

This move toward faster communication, however, doesn't negate the need for personal, clear communication between management and employees, and between employees and customers or clients.

The College of DuPage Business and Professional Institute (BPI) recognizes the need for excellent communication and job-related skills at all levels of employement and in all types of business.

The Workplace Literacy program of BPI's Center for Corporate Training is dedicated to improving the education level of the workforce in Illinois Community College District 502. The Workplace Literacy program offers affordable on-site and
on-campus instruction to companies in the district.

The Workplace Literacy program facilitates learning in a manner that is comfortable and convenient for both companies and their employees. Training is offered in English as a Second Language (ESL); ESL reading and writing; basic reading, writing and math; business Spanish; and occupational Spanish.
