Aspen Santa Fe Ballet
Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, 7 p.m.Described by The New York Times as “A breath of fresh air,” Aspen Santa Fe Ballet inspires audiences with its refreshing performances by such modern choreographers as Twyla Tharp, Nicolo Fonte, Trey McIntyre, Jorma Elo and David Parsons. This tour will feature a restaging of the classic Twyla Tharp piece, Sue’s Leg. The Minneapolis Tribune wrote in 1975, “The dance has that scrappy, spontaneous feel about it that has become a Tharp trademark, a floppy, detached style that at first looks improvised as dancers run into each other, until you see at last how complexly and delicately the work has been made.”
