Intensive Academic Advising and Mentoring

• Opportunity for specialized advisors to meet with:

  • Ethnic underrepresented students
  • Under prepared pre-college level reading students
  • Advanced ESL students
  • General students

• To assist with transitioning to college-level coursework, course selection and planning, and transfer to four-year colleges.

• Maintain continuous relationship with students to assist in reaching goals and to provide follow-up advising.

• Referral to C.O.D. services and outside agencies

• Provide mentoring to guide students through life skills, challenges and concerns.
