I love working as a counselor at College of DuPage and have been
a faculty member since 1977. I help students make effective educational
and career decisions so they can achieve their goals. When students
contemplate or experience lifestyle changes related to their education
they may benefit from discussing issues such as balancing multiple
roles, work obligations, family responsibilities, time commitments,
or other concerns with me. I can also assist students with problems
that are interfering with progress in school. I keep counseling sessions
confidential within the limits of the law. I enjoy teaching a career
development class (Education 1105). This course helps students understand
their career values, personality, needs, skills and abilities; acquire
information about the world of work; and learn how to make effective
career decisions.
I have a bachelor of science degree in education from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master of arts degree
in counseling psychology from Northwestern University. I am a nationally
certified counselor, nationally certified career counselor, nationally
certified school counselor, and licensed clinical professional counselor.
