Meet the Counseling Faculty

Jerry Meyer
Fall semester 2005 started Jerry Meyer's tenth year as a part-time counselor with College of DuPage. He counsels at C.O.D.'s Addison Center and at the Carol Stream Community Education Center, often with clients who are re-entering the workforce, updating skills or changing career paths. Meyer also enjoys working with the traditional students at off-campus locations as well as on-campus at registration times. Education 1105, Career Development, is a course Meyer has taught numerous tiems and found very rewarding. Previously a counselor at Glenbard East High School, Meyer still does high school counseling on a substitute basis.

Meyer and his wife have three grown children and eight grandchildren. They enjoy hiking, especially in Colorado, where they lived while he attended the University of Colorado for a graduate degree in counseling. You may see him running or biking on the Illinois Prairie Path.
