Meet the Counseling Faculty


Carol Giegerich
In 1991 Carol S. Giegerich, M.S., NCC, LPC, graduated from Benedictine University with a Master of Science degree in counseling psychology. Her experience in counseling has covered many areas, including personal counseling, family issues, and career and life planning counseling. She has completed her certification for national accreditation and holds a Licensed Professional Counselor designation in Illinois.

Ms. Giegerich has been with College of DuPage since 1995, first as a part-time counselor, working at off-campus locations and then expanding her role to include main campus counseling and additional responsibilities. In 2005 she became a member of the full-time counseling team.

Ms. Giegerich teaches Education 1105, Career Development and has taught Education 1115, College Survival Skills. She received the Outstanding Part-Time Faculty Award in 2002.
