The college president, Dr. Harold D. McAninch, heads the College of DuPage Cabinet. Four vice presidents – for academic affairs, student affairs, information technology and administrative affairs — report to him, and together they are responsible for developing and maintaining major initiatives and operations of the college. The vice presidents have specific areas they oversee.

Also reporting to the president are the director of Resource Development, the director of Public Information and Production Services, the internal auditor and the legislative liaison.

The College of DuPage Board of Trustees establishes policy for the college. Seven members are elected at large from voters in Community College District 502. The student body annually elects one non-voting student trustee to sit on the board. The president of the college reports to the Board of Trustees.
