We are pleased to learn of your interest in attending College of DuPage. College of DuPage is one of the largest and most comprehensive community colleges in the United States and has a reputation for academic excellence. The college is located in Glen Ellyn, Ill., a suburban city 35 miles west of Chicago. Approximately 34,000 students attend classes in a variety of programs of study.

College of DuPage offers the first two years of undergraduate course work leading to a bachelor’s degree in most major fields of study. These consist of liberal arts, sciences and pre-professional programs for students who then transfer to four-year colleges and universities for their last two years of study. Occupational programs are also available that prepare students for employment after completing a two-year program. In addition, the college offers an intensive English as a Second Language program through the International English Language Institute (E.L.I).

Currently, approximately 200 international students representing more than 50 different nationalities are enrolled at College of DuPage. More than 40 percent of the international students transfer to four-year institutions, both private and state, in Illinois and throughout the country. College of DuPage regards the presence of international students on campus as an integral part of its mission of globalization and interdependence.

The hallmark of our program is the individual attention our students receive from faculty and staff, a supportive environment, and a variety of co-curricular activities sponsored by the International Student office. In addition to the International Student Organization, students have the opportunity to get involved in more than 60 different clubs and organizations that cater to a wide variety of interests and aspirations. International students have been very active in student government and have been elected to student trustee positions on the College of DuPage Board of Trustees.

We look forward to hearing from you and assisting you in any way possible.
