Brief description: A mother-of-pearl bead is implanted
into the mature ovary tissue of a seed oyster for about a year, then
when the sea water temperature is low, the shells are opened and the
pearl removed.
What this image means to me: What this image means to
me: the growth from a small bead into a world beauty takes scrupulous
care and cultivation.
