The Electronics Technology program at
College of DuPage provides the student with a broad exposure to the
fundamentals of electricity and electronics, including digital electronics
and microprocessors. After successfully completing the program, the
student will have the educational background needed by highly skilled
electronics technicians employed in design and development, sales
and service, operations, communications, maintenance, instrumentation,
technical writing, teaching, and computer-related jobs.
The Electronics Technology program emphasizes hands-on learning through experiments
and projects that are selected and paced to reinforce the theoretical material.
The
program offers a low-cost, high-quality education; a comprehensive placement
service;
laboratories with the latest equipment; and small classes with lots of personal
attention.
Although the Electronics Technology program is designed primarily to equip the
student with job-entry skills needed by an electronics technician, credits from
this program may transfer to baccalaureate-granting schools offering degree programs
in technology.
Demand for graduates typically exceeds supply with placement in corporations
such as Lucent Technologies, Motorola Inc., and numerous other companies in the
Chicago metropolitan area. |
