The Big Day:

1-Mile Dash: 4 p.m.
5K: 4:30 p.m.

College of DuPage Football Stadium (corner of Park Boulevard and College Road)
425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL

Course Description:

Race packets will include t-shirt and assigned bib and chip! Early packet pick-up will be available again this year. 

T-shirts:

ParticipantsEach participant will be given a free long-sleeved technical shirt again. There is an option to purchase additional shirts for $12 during online registration. For your convenience, shirts will be included in the pre-race day packet pick-up. Please note that race-day registrants cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Technical shirts are intended to fit close to the body for moisture management. If you prefer loose-fitting clothing or will be wearing another shirt underneath, consider ordering a larger size.

Parking:

Ample free parking will be available in Fawell Blvd lots B, C, and D. There will be plenty of volunteers and clear signage to direct you to the football stadium, where pre-race activities will take place. 

Race Timing:

We are happy to say that the 2013 race will again utilize a Jaguar technology timing system, which is the most modern and accurate method available. You can expect:

  • Disposable bibs and chips available at the time of pre-race day packet pick-up.
  • Immediate and real-time results posted on flat screen TVs, text messaged to runners (if the runner chooses), and posted on the Internet at www.onestoprace.com
     

Aid Stations and Comfort Facilities:

There will be an aid station, water stops and restrooms along the course to ensure happy and safe participants.

Awards and Prizes:

Prizes will once again be awarded to the top overall male and female runners. The top three male and female runners in each of the following age groups will receive a medal. (The top overall male and female winners are removed from age categories.)

Categories
14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and up

Medals
Medals will be available at the awards ceremony, 5:45 p.m. on race day. If you decide not to stay until then, you can pick up your medal at Run Today in downtown Glen Ellyn. Unfortunately, they will not be mailed to the recipients.


CARA Certification

CARA CertifiedThis race has applied for and received the Chicago Area Runners Association designation as a CARA CERTIFIED RACE. This race has agreed to adhere to and uphold CARA's Best Practices Guidelines. These Guidelines embody the highest standards for quality, safety and comfort for participants in a road race.

Additional information:

Walkers and strollers are welcome and will be asked to position themselves behind the runners at the starting line.

Bicycles, in-line skates, other wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs and strollers), and dogs are not allowed.

This race will proceed rain or shine.
