We are happy to say that the 2014 5K race will again utilize a Jaguar technology timing system, which is the most modern and accurate method available. You can expect:
- Start/Finish chip timing
- Disposable bibs and chips available at the time of pre-race day packet pickup.
- Immediate and real-time results posted on flat screen TVs and posted on the Internet at www.j3timing.com
The COD Laps with The Chaps 5K is chip-timed. For the best documentation of your performance, please follow these instructions when affixing your race bib:
- Only wear bib on the front of your shirt. Do not attach to back of race shirt.
- Affix bib to your chest area, above the waist.
- Do not obscure bib with jacket or by wearing it under clothing. Bib should be affixed to outer layer of clothing and visible at all times during race.
- Do not bend the bib.
- Use all four safety pins that have been provided in the race packet.
COD Laps with the Chaps cannot be held responsible for incorrect timing if the above instructions were not followed by the participant.
Ample free parking will be available in Fawell Lots A (recommended), C and D. There will be plenty of volunteers and clear signage to direct you to the football stadium where pre-race activities will take place.
AID STATIONS AND COMFORT FACILITIES
There will be an aid station and water stop along the course to ensure happy and safe participants.
Restrooms will be available in the newly-renovated Physical Education Center (PEC).
Walkers and strollers are welcome and will be asked to position themselves behind the runners at the starting line.
Bicycles, in-line skates, other wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs and strollers) are not allowed.

This race will proceed rain or shine.
College of DuPage is a tobacco-free campus.
